Regarding the statement:- “R134a is banned in new cars with new chassis manufactured after 2010 and will also be banned in new cars manufactured 2017.”
Where does this information come from? VAG and Daimler Benz were still using R134a in new model releases all the way up to 2017 and were filling with R134a until dieselgate broke and they felt compelled to comply with the EU in other areas so opted to toe the line regards R1234yf

Only the US made this a standard on vehicles produced/imported in the country, Europe doesn’t have that legislation yet, Kia/Hyundai produce 50/50 of both gases.
Jaguar and LR only use new gas because they come under a specific manufacturing production of vehicles.
R134a will be used for many years, it’s still a clean/safe gas to use considering what has been used until an alternative is made and y1234 isn’t one of them.

I train, qualify persons for FGas certification and service/repair all service machines of both gases, Daimler use the R744 on certain S,E classes and that’s still only selected vehicles.
