From 1 November, the DVSA customer service centre will deal with all telephone calls about MOT administration enquires.
The agency says the “central MOT hub” will be staffed by “MOT-specific trained administrators”.
Announcing the restructure in an MOT special notice, the DVSA said: “From 1 November, the DVSA customer service centre will deal with all telephone calls about MOT administration enquires.
“The contact number is 0300 123 9000 and is open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6pm.
“Previous contact numbers for the area offices will redirect to the DVSA customer service centre.
“The DVSA MOT hub will handle all MOT administration enquiries received by post and email.”
The VT9A test fees and appeals poster has been updated to remove the reference to DVSA local area offices.
The updated VT9A must be printed and displayed on your official MOT notice board in place of the old one.
