Newly formed Heathrow Battery Company (HBC) has struck up a major distribution agreement with Banner Batteries.
Operating from a dedicated distribution centre two minutes from Junction 4 – M4 near Heathrow, HBC will stock a full range of Banner batteries for HGVs, buses, coaches and agricultural applications.
HBC proprietor, John Drinkall, said: “Whilst commercial plant batteries have always been on our radar through our existing PCS (24/7) operation, we took the decision to establish a dedicated business to focus and capitalise on the market potential for commercial batteries that prevails in what is one the country’s busiest areas.
“We elected to work with Banner for a number of reasons, the main ones being the company’s established OE pedigree and the product quality that comes with it.”
Banner’s country manager, Lee Quinney commented: “Banner is delighted to be working with HBC and both parties are confident that a strong and mutually beneficial relationship will develop.”
Over 90 per cent of the Banner range is stocked at the HBC Heathrow warehouse, with overnight availability for any non-stock items.
Technical advice and information is available through Banner’s Technicians or via their website.
Buffalo Bull
Positioned at the top end of the market, the SHD PROfessional is a Buffalo Bull with a difference; totally maintenance-free, it is designed and manufactured to perform in both stop and go and cold start environments.
Key features include Banner Batteries’ use of a continuous ConCast process for the production of negative mesh to increase frame stability and reduced production tolerances.
New mesh and plate design provide optimum electrical conductance and ensure the battery is insensitive to high current loads, which is a clear advantage for full cold start performance under all operational conditions.
The inherent design characteristics of the SHD PROfessional also contribute to improved working/operational safety.
Driving this are features such as patented, four-chamber leak protection and central degassing, integrated captive backfire protection, not to mention purge protector safety screws and innovative ‘PinFin’ short circuit protectors.
Echoing the SHD PROfessional’s ability to withstand cyclical and vibration resistance to a top E4/V3 rating pursuant to EN 50342-1, Buffalo Bull SHD is an equally powerful and rugged performer.
