Blue Print highlights comprehensive fuel filter range
Blue Print recommends changing the fuel filter at regular service intervals to ensure optimum performance levels are maintained.

Manufactured to OE specification, Blue Print’s filtration range covers 86 per cent of the UK car parc and is this week reporting on the fuel filters.

In a recent press release, a Blue Print spokesperson said: “Modern petrol and diesel fuel systems contain the most accurately engineered components in an engine, manufactured to incredible tolerances of less than two microns and put under enormous loads.

“Advancements in filter technology are a direct response to change in engine technology.

“Modern petrol and diesel fuel systems contain the most accurately engineered components in an engine, manufactured to incredible tolerances of less than two microns and put under enormous loads.

“Unfortunately, impurities from service station refills and corrosion in metal fuel tanks are ever-present and can ruin a modern fuel system.”

Fuel filters trap contaminants found in the fuel tank and fuel supply, to protect the high-precision components found in the fuel pump and injectors.

Blue Print say even the smallest particles of dirt reaching an injector can adversely affect combustion efficiency, fuel consumption, idle stability and exhaust emissions.

Blue Print supplies both high quality petrol and diesel fuel filters, ensuring optimum performance and long service life.

“Hydrophobic filter media”

The brand added said: “Our diesel filter uses hydrophobic filter media which separates the water and stores it in the base of the filter, making sure your engine maintains its performance.

“This also ensures that fungi, which can grow as a result of the unstable organic nature of diesel, cannot form and clog the fuel lines.

“Making sure that the tiniest of abrasive contaminants are removed prolongs the life of the engine and returns the best fuel economy, so it is important to use high quality fuel filters on your vehicle.”

The Blue Print product brand is part of the Bilstein Group, which also incorporates the Febi and SWAG brands.
