Oil contamination can be caused by not changing oil and filter at the correct service interval, by fuel or water in the oil or by using an incorrect lubrication.

In order to support technicians and ensure a full, professional service is provided, BTN Turbo released a video explaining how to diagnose turbo failure as well as the main causes.

“Low power, excessive noise or smoke are often blamed on the Turbo.

“A diagnostic fault code may only point to the area where the problem lies which means you may have to investigate further to identify and cure the real cause,” says BTN.

This short video, created to highlight root causes of turbo failure, will help remind technicians about the varying factors when diagnosing turbo-related faults.
