Engine decarbonisation and DPF cleaning machines to help motorists prepare for strict new MOT rules

Carbon Clean technology to help vehicle owners meet new MOT regulations
Oxygen and hydrogen molecules are blown into the engine as an oxyhydrogen gas mixture to accelerate combustion and clear residues.

Carbon cleaning machine and DPF cleaning machine supplier, Carbon Clean says it offers two product lines that will help customers meet the new more stringent MOT regulations which come in to affect later this month; the CC-16 and CC-14 Carbon Clean machines and the DCS-16 DPF cleaner.

The new regulations include a tighter focus on vehicle emissions and the removal of DPFs.

The new regulations state that any diesel fitted with a DPF that emits “visible smoke of any colour” during tests will get a ‘major’ fault and will automatically failing its MOT.

The updated rules mean testers must not test any vehicle where the “DPF canister has clearly been cut open and re-welded”, unless the owner can prove this was done “for legitimate reasons such as filter cleaning.”

This last instruction clarifies the previous ruling which stipulated a car would be rejected only if its DPF was not present.

Carbon Clean offer two carbon cleaning machines, the CC-16 and CC-14, both of which enable garage owners to perform the industry-leading Carbon Clean service on-site.

Both machines utilise chemical-free HHO technology to cleanly, efficiently and safely remove carbon deposits from the both petrol and diesel engines including the catalytic converter or DPF which instantly improves the vehicle’s performance, economy, reliability and emissions.

The process takes just 30 minutes, and with the benefits being instantaneous, offers garages an excellent up-sell product prior to a MOT booking.

A Carbon Clean service has an RRP of £99 and with no chemicals required, offers excellent off-ramp profit potential for garage owners looking to increase daily turnover.

DPF cleaning

Next up is the DCS-16, Carbon Clean’s new DPF-cleaning machine.

It allows garage owners to clean and clear DPFs in house using a mixture of high water pressure and power cleaner cleaning solution, thus solving any blocked-DPF related issues including decreased performance and increased emissions.

The DCS-16 allows garage owners to help not only restore a customer’s diesel vehicle’s performance and economy but with the new MOT regulations in mind, avoid a costly DPF replacement should they be experiencing issues relating to a blocked DPF.

With no RRP set for DPF cleaning services using the DCS-16, it makes for another great off-ramp profit generator from Carbon Clean.
