Febi control arms are temperature resistant to ensure quality performance under all conditions.

With more than 8,000 different articles for all popular vehicle types, Febi ranks among the leading suppliers in the independent aftermarket for steering and suspension components.

A key component within Febi’s steering and suspension range is control arms, with over 1,400 references for a variety of different vehicle makes and models.

Control arm features a mechanical link between the suspension strut and body and absorbs forces in longitudinal and transverse directions during acceleration, deceleration and cornering.

Febi say high-quality control arms are characterised by precise workmanship, suitable materials and use of high-grade ball joints and control arm bearings with the correct rubber hardness and elasticity.

With sheet metal control arms, corrosion protection plays an important role in the service life of the component.

To protect them from environmental conditions and stone impact, Febi control arms are coated with a cathodic dip primer of at least 15 µm.

Depending on the material, the supporting ball joint is seated precisely in the control arm.

The mountings of Febi control arms are designed to meet the requirements for comfort and stability.

For example, as on the original part, fluid-filled hydro bushings are installed.

A Febi spokesperson said: “Due to increased demands for comfort, driving stability and lightweight design, the steering and suspension technology of modern vehicles has become increasingly elaborate.

“Suspension repairs have consequently become much more complicated for mechanics.”

Febi also supplies the right track control arm for popular vehicles, in a variety of materials such as sheet metal, steel and aluminium alloys.
