Federal-Mogul Motorparts hosted key customers during the UK rounds, which took place at Brands Hatch on June 10-11.

“MOOG is very excited to be taking part in the European Series, providing our steering and suspension components to all the race cars,” explained Jonathan Allen, regional marketing manager, Federal-Mogul Motorparts EMEA.

“Being involved at high levels of motorsports gives us the ability to demonstrate the outcomes of the extensive research and testing that we put into the design and construction of our components.

“We’ve been involved in NASCAR for over half a century and we look forward to building a similar legacy with the European series.”

The third and fourth rounds provided spectators with an exciting weekend of racing.

In ELITE 1 Anthony Kumpen took the glory in round three and Alon Day in round four.

Thomas Ferrando claimed victory in both rounds three and four of ELITE 2 and was bestowed the ‘Prince of Brands’ crown, maintaining his competition lead.

While it is the most popular American motorsport, NASCAR has only had a European series since 2012.

The first two rounds of 2017 were held at the Ricardo Torno road course circuit and won by former Formula 3 champion Borja Garcia.

The next two rounds will be held at Venray Raceway in the Netherlands, the only oval speedway in the 2017 calendar.

“MOOG has been associated with NASCAR for 51 years,” continues Allen.

“That’s half a century of component testing under extremely demanding conditions, where a failure would be visible to millions.

“You need to have a lot of confidence in your products to be willing to put them on that kind of stage.”
