The 9258cc, 565 Cu inch engine generates 940 bhp and attains 0-175 mph in 7.62 seconds.

A well-deserved fourth round victory by Brad Jackson in the Lucas Oil Dragster makes him favourite to secure his first Super Pro Championship at Santa Pod next month.

The York-based driver, who is a full-time VW-trained mechanic, fought back from 21st place out of 29 in Q4.

Fast reactions and good dial-in times swept Brad to the final, where he beat the high-flying Mark Bailey, who red-lighted under the pressure.

Brad drives a Worthy Dragster as part of the three-man Nick Good Racing Team.

The car was built in the USA and is powered by a Big Block Chevrolet V8 Enderle that’s methanol Injected.

Brad, who has won the European Finals twice in the last three years, is having a great end to the season.

“It’s not all over by any means,” says crew chief and father Wayne Jackson.

“Any one of the top six drivers have a real chance of victory.”

As usual, Lucas Oil will be right behind Brad at the National Finals at Santa Pod Raceway, 6-7 October 2018.
