Nearly 1,500 garages have been awarded with Pagid’s ‘Proud to Fit’ certification for brake installers and mechanics, it was announced.

Launched in 2014, the Proud to Fit scheme celebrates garages and workshops that meet Pagid’s high standards.

Once strict criteria for entry are met, and the extensive Pagid and IMI Accredited training is complete, to ensure all mechanics within the workshop are fully-compliant when fitting OE-quality Pagid brake parts, a Proud to Fit garage will graduate to become a Pagid Professional garage.

In return, Pagid Proud to Fit garages benefit from first-class training and exclusive access to technical resources, videos, and promotional materials.

They also benefit from greater customer confidence having achieved Pagid’s quality standard and through being able to display the Proud to Fit signage, which reinforces their credentials as a quality workshop.

Covering 99 per cent of the UK’s vehicle parc, Pagid offers the widest range of brake pads and discs on the market, complemented by a full range of professional braking tools.

Exclusively available through Euro Car Parts, workshops benefit from unrivalled availability and service, with delivery usually within 30 minutes to ensure fast turnaround.

Garages also benefit from the expert support of Pagid’s Technical Sales Specialist Team, which doubled in size earlier this year.

“Revered network”

Phil Woodcock, UK key account manager for Pagid, said: “Through our commitment to training and ongoing support, our members deliver exacting standards of brake installation and maintenance, ensuring customer peace of mind and quality service every time.

“We are committed to ensuring Pagid continues to be the F1RST choice braking brand for UK workshops and the success of the Pagid Proud to Fit scheme is a key part of this.

“We look forward to welcoming our 1,500th Proud to Fit garage and helping them reap the rewards of being part of our revered Proud to Fit network.”

Members of the Proud to Fit scheme report excellent training support, helping them deliver outstanding customer service and ensuring quality fitment first time, every time.

It has also enabled some garages to develop their expertise to deliver more brake work and increased servicing opportunities.

Chris Meredith of ABP Motorsport in Crewe, a Pagid Proud to Fit member, said: “We operate in a highly competitive market that is driven by quality, customer service and trust.

“Being a Pagid Proud to Fit garage reassures our customers that we will always do a stellar job for them, and means our training and servicing are of the highest standard, to match the quality of the product.

“Proud to Fit is the best network in the aftermarket and the ongoing support from Pagid is invaluable.”

Pagid sends regular newsletters to member garages to keep them abreast of industry news, training and the latest range updates, as well as promoting them on the website which features a post code search facility.

It means that garages with the Proud to Fit status can reach more people within their local community and see more new customers come through the door.
