Piotr Parys gets continued support from Ring.

Having identified young Polish driver Piotr Parys Jr (17) as an exceptional motor-racing talent, Ring, supplier of vehicle lighting, auto electric and car accessories to the automotive aftermarket, has announced that it will continue its sponsorship agreement and support him in his next stage of development.

Ring has sponsored the young driver since he competed in the 2015 Volkswagen Golf Cup, aimed at developing young racing talent, which saw him move up to the Porsche GT3 Eastern Europe Challenge Cup in 2016.

With continued support from the brand, 2016 was a breakthrough year for Piotr; out of 16 races he won 15, with just one second position finish.

Such a spectacular season did not go unnoticed and as a result Porsche invited Piotr to race its premium series, the Porsche Mobil 1 Super Cup.

Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup became part of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, which is always held directly ahead of the Grand Prix races at European and international top locations.

The tournament, which is considered the most competitive of the worldwide Porsche one-make series, has provided a riveting stage for the drama of driving to the limit and sparks enthusiasm in drivers, teams, partners and sponsors alike.

Ring has seen steady growth across Europe with distributors in every country from France to Russia.

The Porsche Mobil 1 Super Cup was identified as platform to continue to raise the profile of the brand and business throughout this territory.

As part of the agreement for the 2017 season, the Ring logo will be displayed on the front bonnet of Piotr Parys’ cars, as well as on his overalls and across all his social media platforms.

Gonzalo Vargas, international business division sales director at Ring, said: “We’ve identified a strong interest in motor racing from our European customers.

“The Porsche Mobil Super Cup reaches such a wide audience internationally, with over 100,000 fans attending during the race days and many millions more watching on TV, it is a brilliant platform for our brand.

“Through our association with the Piotr we will be able to initiate some exciting marketing opportunities to reward our customers. We look forward to a successful year ahead and we also wish Piotr all the best on the track.”

Super Cup 25th anniversary

This year will mark the 25th anniversary of the Super Cup, which as well as attracting 125,000 spectators during each round, also reports 30 million TV viewers across 54 countries worldwide.

Piotr will be racing in the UK at Silverstone, as part of the British Grand Prix weekend 14-16th July.
