Contamination related issues on the up, according to Sol-X
Sol-X say contamination issue relating to inlet manifold, EGR valves, turbos and DPF’s have increased.

With modern engines working under tolerance and vehicle manufacturers having to work towards improving emission standards, Sol-X are seeing a significant increase in contamination related issues.

Manging director, Richard Mason explains: “We are seeing emission contamination related issues on a daily basis, in particular relating to inlet manifold, EGR valves, turbos and DPF’s.

“The modern diesel engine has major issues with gradual build-up of soot and carbon.

“Customer feedback had shown us that vehicles serviced every year, using a combination of Sol-X Motor Flush, Sol-X Advanced Fuel system treatments and ensuring the correct grade of oil is applied, suffer far less from carbon deposit build up.

“A clean engine and injector ensuring correct fuel atomisation, accommodates far better combustion and results in less soot generated from unspent fuel.

“The less soot generated, the less deposits; simple but effective.”

“Professional, affordable”

For vehicles that are faulting with turbo issues, Sol-X have recently introduced the turbo and air intake system cleaner.

This is a three stage in situ, easy to apply chemical clean; it gradually dissolves soot and carbon, throughout the air intake and turbo system allowing the engine to breathe again, restore lost performance and reduce emissions.

This is complimented by the Professional DPF Cleaning Kit, as often after a Turbo clean the DPF can become contaminated and require cleaning and regenerating.

Richard Mason commented:  “Sol-X can offer your workshop the professional, affordable solution to your emission related issues.”
