Swarfega highlights two of its most renowned hand cleaning products
Swarfega Classic and Orange.

Handed down from generation to generation, Swarfega has been keeping mechanics’ hands clean and cared for in workshops throughout the country for over 70 years.

Swarfega Classic’s iconic green gel with its distinctive scent and jelly-like consistency is instantly recognisable, being the first choice of automotive mechanics since its invention in 1947.

Swarfega Classic works rapidly and is easy to apply, only requiring a small amount to cut through accumulated grease and grime.

Swarfega’s Classic hand cleaner is ideally matched for a moderate level of soiling on hands.

Using a cleaner that is appropriate for the amount of dirt on hands, to avoid over-scrubbing is very important, as doing this can cause damage to the skin.

Swarfega Orange

At close second in the list of most-recognised products, for heavier soilings Swarfega Orange is the go-to product for automotive mechanics.

The hardworking product easily removes oil, grease and general grime, containing non-abrasive scrubbers for a deep-down clean.

Orange is fast-acting and solvent-free – and uses natural cornmeal instead of plastic microbeads to remove ingrained dirt from the skin.

Whilst Classic is ideal for a moderate amount of grease and grime, it’s important to use the correct hand cleaner, which is why Classic and Orange make the perfect pair.

However, Orange should only be used for ingrained dirt, as the aforementioned over-scrubbing can result in the stripping of vital natural oils from the skin.
