Sykes-Pickavant releases new promotional brochure

Sykes-Pickavant has released its January to April promotional brochure with exciting additions and special offers on its existing range.

The popular Venom induction heater has been joined by a deluxe version which includes eleven interchangeable coils; nine pre-formed to heat fasteners up to 1 ½” in diameter in a variety of lengths from 4” – 10”, a flexible bearing buddy for wrapping around inline and asymmetrical objects and a straight heat resistant U-form coil for DIY winding.

The kit is supplied with the original model which generates ‘invisible heat’ to release corroded and thread locked components without the danger of an open flame.

The Silbertool thread reformer range has been a hit with workshops.

Using innovative technology to reform threads from M5 – M110 back to their original shape without cutting leaves them up to 39 per cent harder than cut threads, increasing the lifetime of original parts and allowing them to be safely reused.

Sykes-Pickavant has welcomed a new XL thread reformer to the range which accommodates a maximum thread radius of 370mm while working with a diameter of 30mm and thread pitch from 0.5mm – 6.0mm.

The new thread reformer is ideal for use on axles due to the sheer size of thread which can be worked on.

A variety of roller sets are also available for this new model.

A selection of new retractable hose reels is available in the latest brochure, featuring two models suitable for compressed air and cold water as well as two models for compressed air only, all suitable for up to 20 bar working pressure.

The air/water option will be available to purchase as a ¼” connection with a 15m x 8mm hose size or a 3/8” connection with a hose size of 15m x 10mm.

The air only option features a connection of 3/8” with a 15m x 10mm hose or a ½” connection with 10m x 12mm hose.

The new battery powered wheel lifter is a welcome addition to the workshop equipment range, offering the operator easy lifting of medium and small wheels up to 60kg for mounting and dismounting.

The wheel lifter is powered by two 12V 12Ah batteries with LED charge indicators and a push button on the handle for one handed operation.

Easy manoeuvrability is guaranteed thanks to the swivel wheels and light aluminium frame whilst a low centre of gravity provides stability against tipping.

Another exciting piece of equipment which has joined the range is an electronic headlight beam tester with integrated camera which provides a complete check and analysis of any beam installed on any vehicle including halogen, xenon, led, low beam, high beam and fog beam.

An on-board optical box equipped with a 230mm diameter lens captures the beam’s trajectory and results can be printed using the integrated printer, the ‘Headlight 4’ software and app are also included for easy beam reading and analysis.

The laser visor and cross laser alignment system provide accurate readings which are easily analysed.

The new HGV hydraulic wheel puller is designed specifically for the removal of 10 stud 22.5” HGV wheels using a 12 tonne hydraulic ram system for increased force to dislodge the most difficult seized rims.

Two sets of hooks are included for inner and outer pulling on twin and single steel wheel hubs, with the option to purchase additional soft coated hooks for use on alloy wheels.

The puller includes two spigot ring sizes for the most popular applications; 281mm and 221mm, with four high strength chains for a sturdy pull.

A trolley is also included for increased safety and supported pulling of the wheel.

Another kit which debuted in the latest brochure is the new large capacity universal puller which is suitable for applications with a large span (between 0mm – 420mm) with an extended reach of 330mm.

The brochure is available on request from Sykes-Pickavant by calling 01543 679900 or select ‘more details’ below to view online.
