Sykes-Pickavant’s electric brake bleeder continues to be a popular choice

The 240V electric brake bleeder from Sykes-Pickavant continues to be a popular choice amongst garages after it was first released in early 2016.

With hybrid and regenerative braking technology being introduced across newer models, higher pressure and flow were required from the workshop brake bleeder resulting in the subsequent release of Sykes-Pickavant’s 3440500.

A Sykes-Pickavant spokesperson said: “Offering an easily adjustable pressure output from 0-6 bars allows our brake bleeder to meet the requirements and specifications of vehicles currently in production, compared to older style brake bleeders which usually only operate at a fixed pressure of 1 – 1.5 bar.

“This lack of flow and power makes many brake bleeders redundant as they are unable to meet the standards required for use on newer vehicles.

“Our 34400500 will likely prove suitable in professional garages for years to come due to its ability to move fluid through the brake systems of newer vehicles quickly and easily when they are in for service and repair.”

The machines requires just one person to operate it and the 3.2m long hose means that vehicles which are raised on a ramp can be bled.

The brake bleeder also accommodates brake fluid containers up to 10 litres in volume.

An aluminium SP Euro cap is included with the brake bleeder with an angled screw type which is a popular vehicle connection.

Additional caps can be purchased to further increase the range of applications achievable using the 34400500.
