The Wall Street Journal published its inaugural Management top 250 list on 6 December, recognising the most effectively managed large companies in the U.S.

Tenneco Inc. (NYSE:TEN) was ranked 232 on the list, tied with Alliance Data Systems, Sirius XM, and Tyson Foods.

The article also featured Tenneco on a separate list of companies with the highest customer satisfaction scores.

The Management Top 250 represents the highest scorers from a larger list of more than 600 companies based in the U.S, or with significant U.S. operations.

Partnering with the Drucker Institute at Claremont Graduate University, The Wall Street Journal’s rankings are based on a statistical model that uses a new methodology designed to produce a more holistic measure of management effectiveness, based on the principles of the Institute’s founder, Peter Drucker.
