George Harrison’s 1984 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL AMG is to be made available at Anglia Car Auctions.
The Beatles legend bought the car from new and had it modified at Strattons of Wilmslow where it was treated to lowered suspension, a body kit, interior upgrades and Penta alloy wheels.
In total, the car complete with its upgrades cost £85,000.
Harrison kept the Merc for 16 years, before passing it on to his friend, percussionist Ray Cooper, in 2000.
The car was placed in in storage in 2013, after exchanging hands a number of of times, until it fetched £43,200 at auction in March 2018.
Around £10,000 has since been spent on restoring the car.
