IAAF to host industry briefings
The regional sessions will give all members a chance to attend regardless of location and will begin at 10.00 am and finish at 1.00 pm with lunch.

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has announced that it will be hosting seven industry briefing sessions.

Headed up by Mike Smallbone, membership development manager, IAAF members are encouraged to attend and benefit from the insightful sessions, with the first meeting held at Sales–i in Solihull on Thursday 16 March.

Places are limited and therefore IAAF is advising members to book early to avoid disappointment by emailing Ann Silvester at [email protected]

Guest speaker, Quentin Le Hetet of GIPA UK will use his 30-years of international experience in automotive aftersales to provide an informative analysis of the industry’s current development.

The aftermarket expert will be presenting two relevant topics including: The impact of extending the MOT period to four years on the UK automotive aftermarket; and the future of parts distribution in the UK.

Smallbone said: “These sessions are specially designed to deliver a number of key discussions while raising awareness to issues affecting the aftermarket.

“An update will be given on topical issues including the latest developments with the ‘Connected Car’ and ‘Type Approval’.

Further meetings will be held and announced throughout the year with the following meeting taking place at VGroup International in Milton Keynes on Thursday 25 May.

IAAF will be also sharing the latest industry updates and IAAF activity at The CV Show on stand 4D02 taking place on 25 – 27 April, as well as at Automechanika Birmingham on stand 18D54 on 6 – 8 June.
