IGA member improves the quality of life for children and young people
The garage aims to improve the quality of life for children and young people in the district by working with schools, colleges and the local community.

Awarded charitable status in 2013, OnTrak Community Initiative Garage in Bradford, West Yorkshire, offers a wide range of services for the local community.

The not-for-profit garage uses its revenue to help and support young people in the local community, offering training opportunities and qualifications that run for 12 weeks up to Level 1 in Vehicle Mechanics, accredited by NOCN.

Students get involved with MOT inspections, working on various vehicle systems, tyre fitting bay, engines and diagnostics and a full range of vehicle servicing, at all times fully guided and supervised by a trained technician.

The students also cover classic car restoration, go-kart stripping and rebuilding, driving skills and a whole range of soft skills.

The garage runs a variety of activities, ranging from bicycle construction, kart maintenance, vehicle restoration, and vehicle technical skills.

Hundreds of young people’s lives have been changed for the better since the garage opened in 2012, helping youngsters get into work, fit into society and become worthwhile members of the community.
