Independent garages across the country have been submitting entries for this year’s Automechanika Birmingham Garage of the Year competition, which is be held in partnership with Garage Wire and is headline sponsored by the Independent Garage Association.
There’s still time to enter here before the competition deadline on April 30.
James Onions, Garage Wire director, said: “Garage of the Year 2018 is a great chance to get involved with something that showcases the real diversity of independent garages and all the great work that goes on at ground level.
“This work might be examples of cutting edge technical innovation, excellent customer service or work to give back and support local communities, we’ve added award categories this time around to better highlight all these different kinds of success.
Six award categories
“We’re asking our independent garage owners and staff who are already busy and might have been meaning to enter to take five or ten minutes to enter the competition before next week’s deadline.
“All category finalists will be invited to a dinner on June 5th and to visit Automechanika Birmingham on June 6th.
“It will be a great way to show off and celebrate the hard work that independent garages are putting in to stay on top of their game, so the more that can get involved the better.”
Category award sponsors include EDT Automotive, Elta, The Parts Alliance, AA Garage Guide and Autologic.
Entries so far include long established family-run businesses that continue to defy industry challenge while offering passionate and valued advice for their customers, workshops that have ploughed extensive investment into employee training, equipment and customer facilities as well as individuals that have been nominated for their technical know-how.
