Kwik Fit bosses have apologised after Nicola Finn found her Vauxhall Adam parked in a disabled parking space just two hours after she left it at the garage.

Ms Finn waited by her car until the fast-fit technician, dressed in a Kwik Fit uniform returned to the car after visiting a bank.

Speaking to the Mirror, she said the mechanic claimed he was following “normal” procedure and was taking the car for a road test but failed to explain why he had parked it in a disabled space.

“This Kwik-Fit worker was clearly not disabled so it’s an insult to people who actually are.

“When I confronted him in the street he couldn’t explain why it was in a disabled bay.

“He said he was doing banking for work and then he just got back into my car and drove off.”

Kwik Fit offered Ms Finn the MOT at a reduced price but she refused to pay anything.

“I complained to customer services and they told me the man was doing the banking for work,” Ms Finn explained.

“I couldn’t care less what shop he went into, he shouldn’t be driving my car without permission.”

  3. Just another way Kwik Fit take advantage of customers; using a customer’s car and fuel etc to carry out their business. Total lack of respect for customers and their belongings. Road test during an mot????? very unusual unless it was a 4×4 Adam lol
