Motorists received warnings about overhanging loads on top of their vehicles after a police officer tweeted images of a Honda balancing a green shed on the roof.
The driver was spotted in the centre of Newton Abbot, Devon, securing the shed with just a signle rope and no roof rack.
Posting on Twitter, Sergeant Olly Taylor of the Devon and Cornwall force, said: “If you’re carrying a load on your vehicle please make sure it’s secure.
“This was held in place with a single rope and no roof rack.
“This could have ended far worse than a ticket for an insecure load.”
