There are rubbish Mechanics who are qualified and there are DIYers who are fantastic, You can’t tell the difference untill they start working for you. However if the Business at which they work is registered and has quality standards then there should be no problem employing unqualified staff,Its the business who is then responsible for any shortcomings. What really gets my back up is the number of mechanics who use their employers premises to do Hobbles in the evenings and weekends as part of their pay.
