What about the particulate pollution and increased wear caused by the very poor quality repair and upkeep of the highway, when are the ministry for transport going to deal with that problem ? And stop penalising the motorist via his pocket and blaming them and their cars for everything. They already take enough in revenue and the roads are no better! All they seem to want you to do is buy a new car and in 5 years time buy another because that car is not green enough anymore.
How much co2 does a new car produce to be manufactured and how much to keep an older car on the road for an extra 5 yeas, I think the answer would surprise most ! We have become a throw away society In the name of being green. The truth is its all about money!
