While above points are valid and I agree wholeheartedly, they miss what I hope is the point.
The market is flooded with poor quality brake friction and tyres that wear quickly. Poorly maintained and poorly designed vehicles also bring about the early demise of many a tyre.
Unfortunately many motorists and much of the used vehicle supply chain will not maintain vehicles correctly unless forced. The cheap, short term fix is favoured by many. God only knows how a government correct this attitude.
