Sounds like a great achievement from Bosch, almost too good to be true.

However, I fear that in the UK at least, the average motorist has little to no understanding on how emissions reduction technologies work. All they see is ‘it’s a diesel’ and because of this and associated stigma attached to it (i.e ‘Dieselgate’), far too many people have had their fingers burnt with the Government moving the goals posts on VED rates, being mis-sold small diesel engine city cars with DPFs that clog-up around town and experiencing large repair bills when the system start failing (EGR valves and coolers, Adblue pumps, fuel vapour valves, DPFs, etc.) or worse still the catalyst and/or DPF gets cut off (with all the sensors and wiring still attached) and stolen by the low-life scum of society.

Perhaps diesel still has a useful life on trucks, HGVs and the like but not so sure when it comes to LCVs, passenger cars, vans, etc. where turbocharged and supercharged petrol engines and mild hybrids are making headway, along with PHEV (plug-in hybrid) and BEV (battery electric).
