This I would have thought was obvious. If you present your MOT and it fails then you no longer have a valid MOT. For clarification, it’s my understanding that if your expiry date has been extended and you present for an MOT now. Pass or Fail it’s now the current date that counts and any future extended date is null and void. Any cars presented before the government extend the expiry will get there current anniversary. i.e. 12 + upto 30 days
