No surprise here.Many drivers have over looked or ignored their service dates and leave repairs until M O T Test is due,that’s if they bother to renew MO T at all.
Come on DVSA if DVLA can monitor unpaid road tax it is reasonable to question why DVSA are unable to operate in a similar vain
This always leaves Testing Stations with the difficulty of explaining why their customers vehicle require repairs costing considerable more than if the vehicle service schedule had been carried out at the correct time.
Problem is modern cars will start up and run, 40 years ago they would eventually breakdown or non start through lack of servicing. As per the other comments people are neglecting their services and repairs and a recent survey on here showed that the majority don’t even know how to open their bonnets.
