    I would be interested if you have received confirmation that this reduction will be applied to repair garages. I haven’t been able to obtain the required confirmation from the IGA help desk, my local authority or Gov UK website.

    It is not clear that repair garages will be included within whatever defenition of “retail” that is to be used. It’s no coincidence that many local councils rushed to get out the 2020/21 bills in advance of the buget.

    Our bill landed a couple of days after the budget but dated two days prior.

    With events moving so quickly, it is clear that come April many councils will be trying to collect rates from the customer facing retail businesses that are not Pubs or Restaurants.

    If there is any offical source or backing for the story, it would proved useful for everyone.
