MOT DPF changes

    GW understands that MOT changes are expected to be made in May 2018 to make it easier for testers to detect vehicles with failing or removed DPFs. The test update is hoped to combat the flaws of the current visual DPF inspection requirement.

    It raises questions about a lack of ‘official data’ to help testers determine if a vehicle had a DPF fitted as standard. Love to know your thoughts on this topic…

    It’ll be really interesting precisely how DVSA are going to make this happen. Maybe we’ll find out more when we have our VTS council meetings in November.
