    Agree with mel

    To replace a old car with newer one will cause more damage to environment
    Making the thing if the current owners do real low miles/year

    So in theory could swap your 1.0 litre corsa from 1999 with 34,000 to a
    2015 3.0 V6 hybrid Land Rover with 150,000 miles on the clock snd because it
    Is ‘hybrid’ it’s ‘environment friendly’. When in reality batteries are dead and just runs on diesel

    This is exactly the kind of thing that kills off city centre businesses in favour of out of town retail shopping parks. Insisting on trucks and buses being brand new increases costs and fares. Good luck with any building work in the city centre with your electric JCB that has to be recharged from a diesel generator.
