    We had one in few weeks ago, non start, due to alternator belt snapped. Was buggered.

    Charge battery, starts engine, oil light at idle. (Was running day before said customer). Dipped oil, dry, decided if belt not snapped would never has seen the car, so sent out #bon voyage

    Regarding the oil checking story, could you share who did the research and a link? I thought this was standard practice with magazines/newspapers etc ?

    Perhaps you have not noticed, modern cars are not equipped with a dipstick. Therefore I can’t check the oil in my car! – Ridiculous
