[See the full post at: Renewed concern for roadside recovery agents following M6 crash]jim walkerGuestTypical Audi driver wasn’t watching what he was doing, lucky the patrol l man wasn’t hurt to bad. Shame the Audi driver survived !
Peter MilesGuestHow on earth do you manage to not see two liveried-up vehicles with warning beacons going?
I’m glad the patrolman wasn’t too badly hurt and I wouldn’t wish the Audi driver dead but he should get a VERY long ban for that! In fact a short prison sentence wouldn’t seem out of place.malcolmGuestI am afraid that Audi drivers have come to symbolise a lot of the defects in our society today, including aggressive driving .inattention, lack of courtesy to other road users, to name but a few.
Colin HaynesGuestThis doesnt supris me I see stupid drivers doing stupid and dangerous things almost every time I do a breakdown even though the recovery truck is fully lit up, cones are in position, high vis worn and the last instants the police in asistance did not stop a taxi driver taking all my cones out and just missing me in the process I think they are drawn to bright flashing lights
BIGBOYGuestIM A RECOVERY DRIVER MECHANIC
IF U C A RECOVERY DRIVER IN THE HARD SHOULDER GIVE HIM SPACE
THE BEST PART OF THIS U DONT DO A TEST FOR MOTORWAY DRIVINGTimGuestJust highlights how dangerous it is working at the roadside. I’ve worked in the Breakdown Recovery industry for 15 years and the situation is just getting worse. There is now a serious incident almost every month involving a breakdown vehicle at the roadside. This is why the #SlowDownMoveOver campaign is so important, not just for the Breakdown Industry, but for anyone working at the roadside
Mick HallGuest30 Toston Drive I’ve said it for ages =ALL DRIVERS MUST BE RE TESTED FOR THE ABILITY TO PHISICALLY DRIVE AND PASS A SAFETY DRIVING TEST every five years. Heating engineers have to pass a competancy test every five years and so should drivers. I am not taking about a 4 page essay but a real on the ground test.
