Volvo fuel leak fears prompt 200,000 recalls

Over 30,000 UK Volvos are affected by a global recall over concerns of a potential fuel leak. The recall relates to diesel-engined 2015 to 2016 model year examples of the V40, V40CC, S60, S60CC, V60, V60CC, XC60, V70, XC70, S80 and XC90. In affected cars, a faulty fuel line could develop cracks, allowing fuel to leak into the engine bay.

Manufacturers are notoriously slow in carrying out their recalls, often quoting shortage of parts as being the hold-up. That could mean thousands of cars failing MOTs and being forced off the road because of outstanding safety recalls. Not a good move! JB
