Does anyone else remember when the (at the time) new spec emissions testers were all supposed to be connected?
And then does anyone remember how well that went?

In reply to Steph Savill’s post there are a lot of cars out there not registered to any owner or simply, as far as the authorities are concerned, simply don’t exist on the database. Then add in those with cloned/stolen registration plates and although nobody (obviously!) knows the figures I understand it comes to quite a lot.
I read an article some time ago about speeding tickets from cameras and it said that around 15% of them come up as either registration unknown or with no registered keeper. The police said that in that case they can do nothing so the tickets get binned.
Terrible situation but that is the reality. And you can bet those cars are not MOT’d, insured, taxed or maintained. And probably not driven too well either!

If he’s daft enough to drive a car like with no insurance or MOT I’m amazed he bothered taking his test.
Take his licence away for good on the grounds he’s too stupid to have one and if he ever gets caught again then lock him up.

I could fill this page with stories of things I’ve personally dealt with caused by quick-fits. Why anyone would ever to go to them, apart from tyres, is just beyond me.
