Annual MOT training and assessment deadline looms

MOT testers have less than 100 days to complete and log their MOT annual training for the 2020/21 MOT testing year, the Independent Garage Association (IGA) has warned.

The DVSA extended the deadline to Friday 30 April 2021 and with this year’s assessment pass mark increasing to 80 per cent, testers are advised to prepare in plenty of time to complete their assessment successfully.

A spokesperson for the IGA said: “As the experts in this field who work closely with the DVSA, the RMI can thoroughly support your testers to ensure they have access to a method of training designed to suit their needs, including options to undertake and log their annual training remotely.”
