The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is reminding MOT testers that the deadline for the MOT Annual Assessment is Monday, 31 March. While the IMI acknowledges that more technicians have completed their assessment compared to 2024, nearly 11,000 still need to do so.
The IMI warns that technicians who do not complete the assessment risk suspension from testing and potential income loss. To facilitate timely completion, the IMI offers flexible e-learning packages, comprising 3-hour modules that can be completed in short sessions. These packages allow technicians to take the assessment twice.
The IMI’s digital MOT Useful Resources page provides assistance with redeeming codes, printing certificates, and uploading assessments to the MOT Testing Service website.
Upon completing the IMI MOT Training and Assessment, testers can opt for free IMI membership, granting them access to the IMI community, resources, learning materials, and tools for ongoing development.
