Banner Batteries has released a new range of battery charges with advanced microprocessor-controlled technology.

The four model line-up includes the Accucharger 6/12V 2A which is fully automatic, and suitable for batteries up to 46Ah; the Accucharger 12V 3A is suitable for batteries up to 72Ah; for those looking for a universal charging device providing overheating protection is Accucharger 12V 6A that is suitable for batteries up to 130Ah.

Completing the line up is the Accucharger 12V 10A, which is ideal for charging larger batteries up to 230Ah associated with SUVs and vans.

Lee Quinney, Banner Batteries’ country manager (UK), said: “Not only are batteries subject to heavy loads due to the increasing number of power consumer products and systems they have to supply, short trips, irregular driving profiles and cold starts all serve to create a negative charge balance on the battery that can result in a deeply discharged state or, worst still, failure.

“Fortunately, such problems can be overcome by using an Accucharger, as they operate to ensure a battery exhibits charge equalisation and, in the case of seasonally operated vehicles, charge retention.

“In addition to their functionality and suitability for all 6/12V lead acid batteries, they are appealing in terms of their design aesthetics and we are confident they will be widely adopted by both our distributors and their customers.”
