Bosch MOT training scheme to close the ‘skills gap’
The IMI has turned to Bosch to help provide the necessary training that is required for technicians to pass the test and help close the gap.

Following the demise of the DVSA Nominated Tester Training Assessment (NTTA), Bosch has developed a two-day, IMI accredited training course at the Bosch service training centre in Uxbridge to cover six ATA modules which aims to equip technicians with the expertise to undertake the ATA LVIN assessment.

The ATA Light Vehicle Inspection Technician (LVIN) level 3 qualification is known for its high failure rate, as supported by the Bosch pilot in 2015 where the failure rate was 86 per cent.

The Bosch assessment day includes theory and practical assessments.

Training will take place on the Monday and Tuesday at a cost of £185 plus VAT each day.

Assessments can be booked in for later the same week for £350 plus VAT.

Booking your training

A 15 per cent discount is available for technicians booking the training and assessment as a package directly with Bosch in 2016.
