The AutoCare Garage Network has congratulated The Garage Whitburn after it won Community Intiative at the Garage of the Year awards earlier this month.
Ian Robertson, owner of the garage, collected the award during the evening ceremony at Aston Villa FC on Tuesday, 5 June.
He said: “We are thrilled as well as honoured to win.
“Our efforts within the community are not with the intention of receiving awards.
“Though, winning something notable, serves as a thank you to our customers, staff, VIP’s, family, friends and the whole community.
“The support and warmth we feel from our community constantly motivates us to do more.”
An AutoCare spokesperson said: “A number of AutoCare garages were included in several catagories and nominated for the awards, which is testament to the calibre of garages that are in the AutoCare network, congratulations to AAK Auto Services in Whitstable, Kent Swift Car Care in Peterborough, Bee Cool ASC in Kettering and Stadium Garage in Doncaster.”
Garage of the Year was organised by Automechanika Birmingham in partnership with Garage Wire.
Independent garages were nominated in a number of categories including; Best Large Garage, Best Small Garage, Community Initiative, Technology Innovation, Business Innovation and Auto-mechanik of the Year.
