In the third of its ‘Autotech Talks’ series, Autotech Recruit’s CEO Gavin White speaks to Anthony McAteer from Euro Car Parts.

The nationwide parts company has kept 200 of its 300+ sites open during the Covid -19 pandemic in a bid to keep the emergency services, garages and fast-fit companies, who are working tirelessly to service the vehicles of key workers, stocked with essential components.

Detailing the highs and lows of this period, Anthony explains how, due to Brexit, car part supplies were in high stock so while there is sufficient levels to deal with current demand, there may still be minor repercussions later down the line as a consequence of China, and other European countries, going into lockdown.

Highlighting the rising demand for batteries, relatively unfathomable outside of the winter months, Anthony predicts that all businesses are set to go through a significant period of change, and offers tips on how to adapt to the new ‘normal’ and the potential actions of customers.

Anthony said: “We are expecting to see a phased return.

“I don’t know whether it’ll be a surge or a drip, but there will be a flow of demand.”
