BG Automotive is set to move to its new, larger headquarters following rapid growth.
With 160,000ft² of additional space boasting ten pallet high racking, ten loading bays and a brand new high tech warehouse management system, the move is set to streamline the supply chain, improving the speed, efficiency and accuracy of thousands of orders fulfilled daily.
The new premises will facilitate a large increase in stock holding, substantially improving availability throughout the massive 40,000 reference product range and improving ‘next day pre 12am’ order requirements from UK customers.
A BG Automotive spokesperson said: “BGA has outgrown the original HQ and the extra building spaces purchased in 2020, requiring a brand new site to keep up with the demand coming in from the largest buying groups and factors in the world.
“BGA needs a building that can accommodate the rapid growth of over 35 per cent a year and attract the best talent in the surrounding areas.”
BGA’s new ‘Metro’ building has some interesting heritage within the automotive sector as HONDA’s old manufacturing building.
“Major investments have been made on a large fleet of operational vehicles, infrastructure and the best talent to ensure supply is met for the demand of BGA product worldwide.”
