Blue Print highlights DPF offering

Blue Print offers a wide range of Diesel Particulate Filters which are designed and manufactured to be a direct replacement in OE-matching quality.

Due to this filtration process, a DPF can become blocked often resulting in the need for a replacement, Blue Print says.

Every vehicle and engine combination can have varying reasons why a DPF would block.

The quality of fuel/oil, driving types, the rate particulates are generated by the engine, even the location of the DPF in the exhaust system can contribute to blocking the filter or it not regenerating fully.

Generally, the problems arise with stop/start town driving, or short journeys when a DPF may not get time to do a complete regeneration cycle.

This cycle is critical in getting the DPF to a high enough temperature to burn off the carbon deposits.

If the carbon deposits are not removed it will cause the DPF to block partially or fully leading to a warning light appearing on the dashboard of the car.

If ignored the engine may go into ‘limp mode’ reducing the vehicle’s power.
