National and local lockdowns across the UK and have seen car usage plummet this year and it’s prompting a wave of diesel owners to suffer DPF-related problems, Carbon Clean has said.
Garage owners are advised not to simply replace problematic DPFs but instead clean them in-house with a DPF cleaning machine.
A Carbon Clean spokesperson said: “DPF’s can be replaced but this can be very expensive.
“Many people instead decide to opt for the cheaper alternative and have their DPF cleaned for a fraction of the price.
“Equipment such as Carbon Clean’s DPF cleaning machines can remove up to 100 per cent carbon and soot from the DPF within an hour.”
In-house carbon cleaning can bring a regular flow of work into a garage and big profit margins, according to Carbon Clean.
It offers a range of professional, high quality DPF cleaning machines, designed to accommodate all DPFs.
A Carbon Clean spokesperson said: “The pandemic has put massive restrictions on people throughout the UK and this has meant vehicle usage has been minimal for most of the year.
“As a result of diesel vehicles only occasionally being used, DPFs are becoming blocked because the regeneration processes cannot be performed.
“This crisis has presented a perfect time to introduce DPF cleaning within your workshop.”
