Castrol has celebrated its highest-performing Castrol Service workshops at its first national conference in Newport, Wales. The inaugural Castrol Service Forever Forward Awards highlighted the achievements of independent garages within the expanding Castrol Service network, now encompassing over 270 UK and Irish businesses.
Awards were presented across five categories, judged by senior Castrol personnel and representatives from distributors Certas and Certa.
Eden Tyres and Servicing, with 24 East Midlands workshops, won the ‘Strong Social Media Award’ for its effective digital engagement with customers. Lindleys Autocentres in Nottingham received the ‘Building Community Award’ for its local sponsorships and customer-focused initiatives. R S Autotechnik, a German vehicle specialist in Gloucestershire, took home the ‘Extra Mile Customer Experience Award’ for its exceptional service. Sophie Redden of Priorslee Motor Services in Telford was recognised with the ‘Castrol Spirit Award’ for embodying the brand’s values.
The headline ‘Garage of the Year Award’ was presented to Oldfields Garage Services in Leominster, lauded for its commitment to customer service and continuous training, evidenced by strong customer feedback.
The conference also served as a platform for Castrol to outline its future strategy and latest offers. Attendees participated in sessions covering digital marketing and new revenue streams like car valeting. Exhibitors such as Garage Hive and SAMOA Workshop Equipment provided advice and support.
Zoe Rogers, Country Activation Specialist at Castrol, noted the positive feedback from participants who appreciated the networking opportunities and insights into Castrol’s strategy for the independent workshop sector.
