Castrol has launched a new branded mobile mechanic programme to help participating businesses build positive awareness in their local communities and attract new customers.
In addition to exclusive Castrol-branded workwear and vehicle decals, independent mobile mechanics joining the programme will benefit from comprehensive digital marketing support, online training and guaranteed access to premium-quality lubricants.
The Castrol branded mobile mechanic programme has been developed in partnership with The Race Group, a UK independent supplier of fuel and branded lubricants.
The new programme allows mobile mechanics to harness this brand strength to stand out from their competitors and build trust among potential customers.
The suite of Castrol marketing assets offered includes digital banners for websites and social media channels, and a listing on Castrol’s dedicated online search tool that helps consumers find a trusted local mobile technician.

The exclusive Castrol-branded workwear offered to every participating business includes professional and durable polo shirts, softshell jackets, trousers, sweatshirts, waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers, and LED beanie hats.
To keep the elements at bay when working on customer vehicles, every branded mobile mechanic also gains a robust portable Castrol-branded gazebo.
The value of the support package totals more than £2,500.
Mobile technician businesses must meet quality standards to join the programme.
For example, customer reviews should average four out of five stars, and the mobile technician must be able to demonstrate that they work ethically and maintain a robust customer complaints process.
Available for single-van businesses as well as those operating large fleets, Castrol’s branded mobile mechanic initiative has been devised to complement the established Castrol branded workshop scheme, which supports independent workshops across the UK with specialist training, branded marketing assets and a range of support services.
Amanda Taylor, UK marketing manager at Castrol said: “This programme has been created to support a fast-growing, dynamic segment within the independent workshop sector, and we’re excited about its potential.
“Through this programme we are engaging with conscientious and well-respected mobile mechanics who wish to associate themselves with trusted aftermarket brands, and we are helping them take their business to a new level – both reputationally and commercially.”
