Bearings included with strut mounts, Corteco confirms

Technicians advised to also replace mounts when changing struts or springs because of wear

Bearings included with strut mounts, Corteco confirms

Corteco has this week confirmed that bearings are included with its strut mounts.

Designed to ensure the driver and passengers are protected from any impact caused by speed bumps and pot holes, the mounts act as a damper and isolates excess noise and vibrations thus making them essential to vehicle stability and road safety.

A Corteco spokesperson said: “Check the suspension strut mounts every 20,000km and replace them every 90,000km.

“Always check the suspension strut mounts during inspection and make sure to renew them in pairs.

“If the struts or springs are being replaced because of age or wear, then also replace the mounts.”
