Kajetanowicz aims to replicate that feat on an international scale.

Delphi Technologies Aftermarket has announced that it will continue its successful partnership with Polish rally driver, Kajetan Kajetanowicz.

In 2017, Kajetanowicz became the first-ever competitor to achieve three back-to-back European Rally Championship (ERC) titles, cementing his position as one of Europe’s best rally drivers.

This year, Kajetanowicz aims to replicate that feat on an international scale, by competing in the World Rally Championship (WRC).

Neil Fryer, vice president global marketing at Delphi Technologies Aftermarket, said: “The WRC is widely regarded as one of the most demanding motorsport competitions in the world, so we were delighted when Kajetan secured his place in this prestigious series.

“His determination to compete at the highest level, to be the very best, mirrors ours.

Kajetanowicz said: “Competing in the WRC has been a lifetime ambition.

“Whilst the ERC has given me an excellent grounding in rallying, this will be arguably the biggest challenge of my career so far.

“But to have a company like Delphi Technologies at my side, a company that’s just as passionate about cars and performance as myself, will be a huge advantage.

“Their continued support has helped make my WRC dream become a reality.”

Branding

The two-way partnership gives Delphi Technologies access to valuable branding and marketing rights throughout the season, including its logo on Kajetanowicz’s trusted Ford Fiesta R5 car run by M-Sport Poland, in cooperation with the LOTOS Rally Team, his race wear and pit-crew.

With the WRC recording a total TV audience for the 2017 season of over 850 million and more than 25 million video views, this will provide significant exposure for the new-look brand.

The logo will also feature prominently on Kajetanowicz’s website, media activity and social channels, the later with more than 94,000 followers.

Sanctioned by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the World Rally Championship pits cars and drivers in a series of multi day events through some of the toughest, and most varied, conditions on the planet.

In 2018, drivers will compete in rallies in 13 countries across Europe, Central and South America and Australasia.

Kajetanowicz starts his WRC campaign at the Rally Italia Sardegna from 7 to 10 June 2018.
