DENSO has announced the expansion of its popular annual UK karting competition for professional technicians. Building on the success of the 2024 competition, the 2025 event will feature additional rounds and race locations.
“Our now annual karting championship has proved to be a great success and hugely popular with both our direct customers and the professionals that install our original equipment products,” said DENSO’s UK and Eire Sales Manager, Kevin Peacocke, “so we are delighted to not only announce its continuation, but also the further expansion of the 2025 competition.”
The winner of the 2024 competition, Brett Ward, enjoyed a memorable trip to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone as part of his prize.
“The experience was unbelievable,” said Ward. “We saw the Grand Prix live, along with other F1 cars and support races.”
The 2025 competition will maintain its autumn start and May finale, with an anticipated increase to 24-25 rounds across various regional venues.
“As has become customary, the 2025 championship will begin again in the autumn, with the final taking place in May,” Kevin continued, “but we are planning an expanded format that is likely to include 24 or 25 rounds and more regional venues.
“So, a call to action to hard working professional technicians: make sure you let your local DENSO distributor know that you want to take part in the competition and go toe-to-toe with the other entrants in your region, to have a shot at taking the DENSO UK Karting crown next May!”
