Ecobat Battery, a UK battery distributor and NCC member, has increased its range of National Caravan Council (NCC) verified leisure batteries for the 2025 season. This expansion caters to the growing demand for dependable power solutions among caravan and motorhome enthusiasts.
The NCC Verified Leisure Battery Scheme assists consumers in identifying batteries with accurate and verified specifications. Batteries undergo testing by manufacturers and verification by the NCC, considering minimum capacity and life cycles at 50% depth of discharge. They are classified into three categories: Class C (low power consumption with electrical hook-up, minimum 70 cycles), Class B (higher consumption, often with a motor mover and electrical hook-up, minimum 200 cycles), and Class A (frequent use without electrical hook-up, minimum 350 cycles).
Ecobat Battery has added eight new batteries to the scheme, represented by Odyssey and Rolls. These additions include three Rolls AGM batteries (95-128Ah) and three Rolls lithium batteries (100-150Ah), all classified as Class A, offering extended cycle life. Additionally, two Odyssey AGM batteries (63Ah and 85Ah) have been added with a Class C classification.
With these new additions, Ecobat Battery now offers over 50 NCC verified batteries from manufacturers such as Exide, VARTA, Lucas, Numax, Odyssey, and Rolls, available nationwide through its stockists.
This expanded portfolio ensures that enthusiasts can easily identify batteries suitable for their power needs, providing confidence in their performance and reliability during leisure trips.
